The VLAS police zone, which was created in 2001, moved offices at the end of 2018 to Minister De Taeyelaan in Kortrijk. This imposing three-storey building is home to some 300 police officers, with tasks ranging from neighbourhood policing and local investigation to public order and traffic. State-of-the-art technologies, including a more than 20m-wide video screen, have been applied to assist the officers in their daily tasks. As a partner, Sumi is responsible for transmitting measured CO2, humidity and temperatures values to the intelligent HVAC control system. In addition, we take care of the lighting control of the entire building and a customised visualisation was also provided. This allows those responsible to freely set various parameters for each individual area.
