Fashion Museum – Antwerp

Temporary exhibitions have been held in the Fashion Museum along the Nationalestraat in Antwerp since 2002. After all, there was never enough space to accommodate the permanent collection of 30,000 items. This is now set to change with a thorough overhaul. After the renovations, the museum will boast a large exhibition space, as well as an auditorium where lectures can be held, an extensive library, a shop and a café. If this was not enough, the lighting control system will be brought into the 21 century, and the building will be fitted with intelligent attendance sensors, push buttons and touchscreens. In the auditorium, Sumi also provides a link to the audio/video installation. Different moods can be set during lectures at the touch of a button to obtain the desired light levels.
