Lighting concept
This building receives plenty of sunlight. This office lighting concept has been fully adjusted to the situation, by using constant light control with Digitally Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) dimmed 16mm fluorescent lamps and KNX presence detectors with built-in light metering.
IP connection
The individual DALI field buses and the KNX buses are linked to a high-performance IP network. This connection was carried out using KNX IP controllers which act as a router for the KNX telegrams and as a gateway for the DALI messages. Besides KNX and DALI, many other field buses can be connected to these KNX IP controllers (M-Bus, ASI, Modbus, etc.).
Visualization and interface
The IP backbone is linked to a server to enable visualization. An Industrial PC is used to manage the lighting, as this mini-computer enables viewing of the lighting system over the Internet. The administrator logs in to his system and can check the status of all fittings and KNX components.
