Integrated systems:
- Link with hotel management system (FIAS protocol)
- Link with HVAC unit used for both cooling and heating
- Access control at various levels
- Access control and authorisation
All rooms are equipped with a KNX installation. The system controls all lighting fixtures as well as the air-conditioning unit which produces both heating and cooling. Depending on the type of badge, access and authorisation to operate certain systems is limited:
- Guest badge: Access to one room and some common areas. Maximum control options for all systems in the room.
- Concierge badge: Access to all rooms and all general areas, including technical rooms and staff quarters. Possibility to operate all systems in all spaces.
- Housekeeping badge: Access to all rooms with control of lighting.
- The systems in a room are activated by inserting the card badge into the circuit breaker. Once the hotel guest has removed this card, the lights turn off after a few seconds and the heating switches to standby mode.
Connected systems:
Additionally there is a link with the hotel management system (e.g. Fidelio). When booking the room for a certain date, the heating is activated to standby mode. This makes sure the room warms up to a pre-set temperature before the guest’s arrival. When the guest inserts the badge into the circuit breaker, the heating automatically switches to comfort mode.
